Proposed investment of INR 21,000-crore for thedevelopment of coastal land in Badhvan Port.
Jawaharlal Nehru Port has signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) for Badhavan Port Project Limited, establishing an importantcooperation of NMDC Group with PJSC (formerly National Marine Dredging CompanyPJSC). The MoU documents were exchanged between JNPA Chairman and Chief ManagingDirector and Chairman of Badhavan Port Authority Limited Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS),and Yasser Zaghloul.
As per the MoU, NMDC Group PJSC has proposed aninvestment of INR 21,000-crore to develop coastal land in Badhavan port throughdredging, filling, processing, and coastal protection.
Earlier, several MoUs for VPPL were signed in thepresence of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri SarbanandaSonowal, and Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri ShantoonThakur during their visit to Jawaharlal Nehru Port.
