JNPA signs MoU with NMDC Group PJSC for Badhavan Port Project Ltd.
Proposed investment of INR 21,000-crore for the development of coastalland in Badhvan Port.
Jawaharlal Nehru Port has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) forBadhavan Port Project Limited, establishing an important cooperation of NMDCGroup with PJSC (formerly National Marine Dredging Company PJSC). The MoUdocuments were exchanged between JNPA Chairman and Chief Managing Director andChairman of Badhavan Port Authority Limited Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS), andYasser Zaghloul.
As per the MoU, NMDC Group PJSC has proposed an investment of INR 21,000-croreto develop coastal land in Badhavan port through dredging, filling, processing,and coastal protection.
Earlier, several MoUs for VPPL were signed in the presence of UnionMinister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, andMinister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantoon Thakur duringtheir visit to Jawaharlal Nehru Port.
