TRSL announces formation of two new business verticals
Company announces management rejig to enhancefocused growth.
Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (TRSL) has announced theformation of new verticals under the names of Ship Building and MaritimeSystems (SMS) and Safety and Signalling Systems (SSS). The Company has alsoannounced important management reorganization to enhance focussed growth goingforward.
The SMS vertical of Titagarh would be headed bySaket Kandoi, who is the Director of the company and was earlier the ChiefOperating Officer of the Freight Rail Systems division. He will now be the Directorand CEO of the Ship Building and Maritime Systems.
The Company Board also approved setting up ofSafety and Signalling Systems (SSS) under which Titagarh will develop productsto cater to the ever-growing need of enhancing safety and signalling systemsfor the railway and the metro systems in India. TRSL already has a jointventure with MERMEC of Italy, which is a global leader in this field.
Prithish Chowdhary, who is the Dy. ManagingDirector of the Company, will be the ad-interim CEO of SSS. The Board ofDirectors of the Company also approved changes to the management structure ofthe Company.
