EDF India and Actis announce strategic partnership to develop advanced metering infrastructure in India
EDF India has announced a strategic joint venture (JV) withActis, a leading global investor in sustainable infrastructure. Thiscollaboration aims to operate a dedicated platform company for AdvancedMetering Infrastructure Service Provider (AMISP) concessions. Under this jointventure, EDF India and Actis will bring together their global expertise inenergy solutions and infrastructure investments.

The Indian government is actively driving the National SmartMetering Project under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS),targeting the deployment of 250 million smart meters by 2025. These advancedmetering solutions are designed to enhance operational efficiencies, reduceaggregate technical and commercial losses, and bolster the financialsustainability of India’s power distribution companies (DISCOMs).
