In distinguishedrecognition for its continued effort towards nurturing and grooming talent,L&T was featured fourth in LinkedIn’s 2021 Top Companies list in India,jumping 19 spots from 23rd position two years ago. This makes L&Tthe only infrastructure company to feature in the top 10, among a host of IT, e-commerce,and consulting organisations in the country. The list was prepared exclusivelyusing data from LinkedIn’s 740 million members across the globe.
L&T bagged thiscoveted recognition basis its progress mapped across seven parameters, such asthe ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity,company affinity, gender diversity, and educational background. But, what stoodout significantly was its handling of the COVID-19 situation.
L&T also honoured its commitment and virtuallyon-boarded 1000 plus Graduate and Post-graduate engineers from premiertechnical institutes in August 2020.
L&T’s employeecentric policies during the pandemic’s early days to not layoff staff whiledoubling health insurance and evacuating those stranded in the Middle East werelauded by all stakeholders. L&T’s focused approach to groom talent, withmost of its directors on the board nurtured in-house, also played a key role inearning this accolade.
Companies with at least500 employees in the country as of 31st December 2021 and withreduction of staff by not more than 10 per cent were considered eligible for theevaluation.
