Nexcharge, incollaboration with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL), has recently inauguratedIndia’s first Grid Connected Li-ionbattery-based Community Energy Storage System at Rani Bagh, Delhi. The0.52 MWh Battery energy storage system at TPDDL’s Rani Bagh substation willprovide peak shaving, var compensation, and deviation settlement mechanismbased on frequency response at substation level with power backup topreferential consumers in case of a grid outage.

Nexcharge, anExide Leclanche Energy Pvt. Ltd. brand is an exclusive joint venture in Indiabetween Exide Industries Limited and Leclanché SA, the Swiss large-formatlithium-ion cell conglomerate. The 0.52-Megawatt hour grid-connected systemowned by Exide Industries Limited and Leclanché SA will provide the path forwider adoption of grid-scale energy storage technology across India.

Black & Veatch bags IEDCL’s 41MW hybrid project
