Powered by OpenBlue Digital Technology, new tiered offerings enable safeand adaptable environments.

Johnson Controlshas announced the launch of a new flexible service suite to its customersin Asia Pacific, which will leverage Johnson Controls OpenBlue digitaltechnology to power remote and contactless services. With more than 20 uniquecustomizable options to cater to rising demands for adaptable, healthier, andsafer buildings, the new offering has been made available in the AsiaPacific region from October 2020.

A JohnsonControls survey, conducted in 2020, revealed that unplanned downtime andequipment failure are the two biggest issues for its customers in AsiaPacific, while minimizing downtime is a top priority for them. This correlateswith the finding in the same survey that the majority preferred remotelymonitored systems that continually monitor and analyse asset health andperformance. However, concerns over budget, cyber security, and the lack ofunderstanding of digital services are the top three barriers to adoptingdigital enabled remote services.

Toaddress the needs of the Asia Pacific market, the new service suiteoffers flexibility and brings digital capabilities to front line servicedelivery personnel and customers. These enhanced capabilities allow the remotemonitoring and management of a comprehensive range of HVAC, fireprotection, and security services under any circumstances, includingemergencies and during a pandemic. The new service suite is underpinned bysignificant investments in cyber security by Johnson Controls, which has earnedthe internationally recognized ISASecure® Secure Development LifecycleAssurance certification for its product development practices.
