Shell India leads the way in clean fuels with thelaunch of environment-friendly Rimula R5 Engine Oils – high performanceheavy-duty engine oils formulated in accordance with the latest emission norms.

Shell Lubricants,the global market leader in finished lubricants, recently launched the RimulaR5 LE 10W40 and R5 LE 10W30 synthetic engine oils designed for heavy dutytrucks in India. Offering enhanced engine protection and excellent oxidationcontrol, the engine oil is developed with superior CK4 technology, inaccordance with the latest BS-VI emission norms.

Rimula R5 is India’sfirst range of CK4 engine oil that is compatible with both existing vehicles andfuture ready BS-VI vehicles. The lubricants major is the first supplier todevelop a product with CK4, the best-in-class technology designed to reduce CO2emissions for creating a safer and cleaner environment and enabling smoothtransition to a low-emission economy.

Together with OEMs and customers, ShellLubricants has conducted more than 64 million kilometres (40 million miles) ofreal-world testing – akin to driving over 1,500 times around the world. Suchrigorous testing served to demonstrate the performance of the next-generationheavy-duty diesel engine oils that meet the CK-4 specification withoutcompromising oil life or wear protection.”

The Shell Rimula R5will be available in 19 focus cites spread across 12 states: Delhi, Chennai,Namakkal, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Indore, Lucknow,Kanpur, Jalandhar, Ambala, Srinagar, East Singhbum, Ranchi, Raipur and Vadodra.The engine oils will be available in 15-liter packs only.

Black & Veatch bags IEDCL’s 41MW hybrid project
