Switch India launches nextgeneration electric bus platform – SWITCH EiV 12.

Switch Mobility Ltd(‘Switch’), the next-generation carbon neutral electric bus and lightcommercial vehicle company, has recently launched its state-of-the-art electricbus platform ‘SWITCH EiV 12’ for the Indian market. This next-generation E-Bus willbe available in two variants:

  • EiV12 low floor, and

  • EiV12 standard.

These versatile buses offerthe best in reliability, range and ride comfort. The company currently has anorder book of over 600 buses.

The Switch EiV range ofbuses have been uniquely configured to meet customer requirements of variedapplications like intra-city, inter-city, staff, school, and tarmac, offering maximumpassenger capacity and comfort. The buses are also equipped with a newgeneration of highly efficient, modular batteries with advanced lithium-ion NMCchemistry, specially formulated for the Indian market and climatic conditions. Themodular batteries increase the capacity per battery cell for the same weight,enabling higher range of kilometres: up to 300 kms/day withsingle charge, and up to 500 kms/day with dual gun fast charging.

The electric drivetrainsand batteries are calibrated to ensure superior efficiency with long batterylife, delivering lower total cost of ownership in the market. Maintenance ofthis ultra-modern E-Bus can be carried out quickly and effortlessly.
